1st weeks of work in Germany

I arrived in Germany just over 2 weeks ago for my current placement; so far it has been really interesting and fun. I was originally in North West Saxony working on a month long ERASMUS+ placement with other British students. I enjoyed it so much and was allowed to come back for a longer term 3 month placement. I like it here because I get to experience another culture and learn German. Nature in Germany feels less artificial than that of Scotland since there are more predators making a more balanced ecosystem. Recently beavers have been reintroduced to Scotland so I love seeing the landscapes they create in Germany, knowing that Scotland will have similar areas in a few decades. On my placement, we have done a range of activities including: teaching the local school children about the local apples and we even made fresh apple juice with them; we surveyed trees on farmland; restored a bat bunker; planted trees and flowers and raked hay!
